Kriti School Of Creative Arts

Kriti School Of Creative Arts is over in the Sstm Educational Complex. We are in Yogi Dham, which is part of Kalyan City. Since it’s a school for creative arts, things can get a bit messy. There are always pots of paint or pieces of paper lying around the hallways. It’s not one of those schools where everything has to be perfectly straight and polished. We like the fact that it feels like a workshop. The complex itself is quite large and we share it with other departments. Mumbai can be very loud but Kalyan feels a bit more spread out, though Yogi Dham is getting busier every year. I've seen a lot of students come through here and they all seem to enjoy the fact that they can get their hands dirty. We don't have a big corporate mission statement or anything like that. We just provide the space and the materials for people to do their work. The lighting in the rooms is okay, but we often open the doors to get more air in. It’s a simple life here. We worry about the supplies running out or the roof leaking during the heavy rains. It’s just a bunch of people who care about art trying to make something happen in a corner of Thane. We don't try to be anything we are not.
