Indian Music Institution

We are over in Jogeshwari West, specifically at 401. It’s a place for music and learning. We’ve been here in this part of Mumbai for a while now. The building is just a regular spot where people come to practice and get better at their instruments. It’s not a big corporate building or anything like that, just a local institution. We have different people coming in throughout the day. Some are kids and some are older folks just wanting to play a bit of music. It gets a bit loud sometimes with all the different sounds, but that’s part of the fun. Jogeshwari West is a busy area, so there is always noise from the street too. We just keep the doors open and let the music happen. We don't have a lot of fancy stuff, just what we need for the lessons. It’s a simple setup. We spend our time listening and teaching. The 401 address is where we keep all our notes and instruments. It’s a bit of a lived-in space, not perfectly polished, but it works for what we do. People in the neighborhood know us. We aren't trying to be anything other than a place to learn music. Every day is a bit different depending on who shows up for their session. Music makes the day go by faster and the atmosphere is always interesting here.
