Sai Ashish Hair Cutting Salon is at Shop Number 3 on GB Road in Thane West. We are in the Brahmand area, specifically near the Azad Nagar bus stop. Because the bus stop is so close, we always see people running to catch their ride. The shop is small and sits on a busy stretch of road. Thane is known for its traffic and GB Road is one of the busiest parts. We get a lot of dust and noise inside, but we have a glass door to keep some of it out. Inside, we have three chairs and a small bench for people to wait. We do the standard hair cutting and shaving for the men in the neighborhood. The rains in Thane can be very heavy, so during the monsoon, the shop stays quite damp and we have to keep mopping the floor. We have some regular customers who come from the buildings in Brahmand. They usually stop by on their way back from the station or the bus stop. We do not have any fancy signs or advertisements. The name is just painted on the front. We keep the scissors moving and the talk usually stays on things like the train schedules or the price of groceries. It is a simple place to get your hair done. We work long hours but it is good to be a part of the local community here near the bus stop.
