Aakanksha Beauty Parlour

It’s been quite some time since we set up shop at Binni Deli Complex here in Kasheli Village. People around Kalher know the spot well because we are right on Bhiwandi Road. It is just a small place, really. We have the usual chairs and mirrors and the lights that sometimes flicker when the power gets a bit moody. Most days, it is just about getting the work done for whoever walks through the door. We see a lot of the same faces every week which is nice. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded and people have to wait on the bench outside near the entrance of Durgesh Saj. We try to keep things tidy but with hair and bottles everywhere, it stays busy. There is always some music playing low in the background, usually just whatever is on the radio that day. The fans hum along and we talk about the weather or the traffic on the main road. It is a simple setup. We don't have any fancy machines or anything like that. Just the basic stuff you need for a haircut or a thread job. The tea guy from across the way comes by twice a day and that is usually our break. Living and working here in Thane for so long, you just get used to the rhythm of the place. It is not much, but it is our corner of the world and we are here most mornings until late.
