You can find our shop at number 10 in Venkteshwar Nagar, over in Bhayander East near Dana Bunder. It is a bit of a walk from the station, but it’s a lively part of town. Our space is filled with the sound of printers clicking and papers being stacked. We’ve got different machines for different jobs, and they take up a lot of the room. It often smells like fresh toner in here, which you get used to after five minutes. We do a lot of small-scale stuff for people in the neighborhood, like photocopies or printing out forms. Then there are the bigger jobs that take a few days to finish. We try to keep things organized, but when it’s busy, there are piles of paper everywhere. We don’t have a fancy storefront, just a practical shop where we can get the printing done. The neighbors often stop by to say hello while they’re passing through Dana Bunder. It’s a tight-knit kind of place. We’ve been through a few different machines as the technology changed, but the goal is always just to get the ink on the paper correctly. It’s a lot of standing around and checking quality, making sure the margins are right and the text is clear. We just take it one job at a time and try to keep our customers satisfied. It’s a noisy way to make a living, but it’s what we know how to do best.
