Geetanjali Pet Packaging System

We are located out in Plot No-112 of the Shahapur Industrial Estate, near Village Pundhe. Geetanjali Pet Packaging System is where we spend our days making plastic containers. It gets pretty warm in the factory because the machines have to stay hot to mold the plastic correctly. There is a constant clicking and humming sound that fills the whole space from morning until evening. We have stacks of finished bottles everywhere, waiting to be bagged and sent out to customers. The road to the village can be a bit bumpy, especially after the rains, so we have to be careful with the deliveries. It’s a quiet area otherwise, surrounded by a bit of greenery which is nice when we step outside for a break. We started this because there was a need for packaging in this part of the Taluka and it seemed like a good idea. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just us, the machines, and a lot of plastic pellets that arrive in big sacks. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a big order or fix a machine that stopped working, but that’s just the nature of the manufacturing business. We focus on getting the shapes right and making sure nothing is leaking. It’s basic work, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We like the local feel of the place and the fact that most of the workers are from the nearby villages and have been with us since we opened. There is always a lot to do, but we manage.
