Nes International School

Our school is right on the Kalyan-Shil Road in Dombivli East. If you know this part of Thane, you know how busy that road can get at almost any time of the day or night. We are in a big building that stands out quite a bit from the other structures around this area. The traffic noise is something we’ve just gotten used to over the years. Mornings are a real rush because everyone is trying to get to school or their offices at the same time. Inside the gates, it’s a whole different world for the students. We have plenty of space for them to move around between their classes. The hallways are wide and the classrooms have big windows, though we keep them shut sometimes to keep the dust out from the main road. We have a lot of staff members who commute from different parts of Thane and even Mumbai. It’s a diverse group of people working here every day. We don't really do anything too fancy or modern, just follow the schedule and make sure the lessons happen on time. The playground gets very busy during the breaks, and you can hear the kids shouting all the way from the main road. It’s a functional, busy place that serves the families living in the new townships around Dombivli. We’re just here doing the daily work of running a school in a rapidly growing city.
