Finding us in Kalyan West isn't too hard if you know where Tilak Chowk is. We are inside Jai Bhagwan Tower, which is near Murlidhar Aali Parnaka. It’s a very crowded area of Maharashtra, especially when the markets are in full swing. The college is spread out across the floors there. Students are always rushing up and down the stairs or waiting for the lift. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, but we keep the fans going as much as we can. We started this place because people in Kalyan needed a spot to study without traveling all the way into Mumbai. The rooms are basic, nothing too special, just what you need for a lecture. We have people coming in from all the nearby neighborhoods. You can hear the sounds of the street from the windows, the horns honking and people shouting. It’s just how life is in this part of town. Our staff mostly lives nearby, so we all know the local shortcuts. We don't spend much time on decorations; we just make sure there are enough chairs for everyone. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out. It’s a practical place for students who are trying to get their degrees. Most days are just about finishing the paperwork and checking the attendance sheets. We're just here every day, opening up the office early and staying until the last student leaves.
