Anjuman Islam

We are based out of Goregaon West, right on Ram Mandir Road. Specifically, you can find us in Room 115 of the Sagar CHS building, which is part of the R-11 block. It is a pretty standard residential neighborhood that has seen a lot of changes over the years. Anjuman Islam has deep roots in community work and helping people with education, and this local office is where we handle the day-to-day tasks for this area. It is a simple room, usually filled with stacks of paperwork and a few old wooden desks. People from the neighborhood often stop by to ask us questions or to get some help with their forms. It isn't a corporate environment at all; it feels more like a community hub where people feel comfortable walking in. We have a few staff members here who have been with the organization for decades. The atmosphere is usually quiet, but it can get quite busy when we have a big project or a local event to organize. We spend most of our time coordinating different programs and making sure the needs of the local people are being addressed. The walk from the train station isn't too long, and most people around Goregaon know where our building is. We don't have any big flashy signs. We just focus on the work at hand and try to be as helpful as we can to the community.
