Down in Kalyan West, specifically near Mhasoba Maidan, you will find us at R.D. Bhoir Chawl. We are in Room No. 9. It is a small place in Chikanghar, but it fits us just fine. Living and working out of a chawl means you know everyone’s business and they know yours. There is a certain rhythm to it. Every morning, the area around the maidan gets lively. We open up the room, sweep the floor, and get the ledger out. It is not like those big corporate offices in the city. Here, the walls are thick, and the roof keeps the sun off us. We do a lot of our thinking while sitting on the wooden benches. Sometimes the dust from the road blows in, so we have to wipe down the tables pretty often. Our address is Dist. Thane, and the pin code is 421301. We have stayed in this spot because it is central for the people we deal with. It gets a bit tight when more than three people are inside at once, but we manage. We handle the paperwork, take the calls, and try to keep things straight. It is just a regular spot in a regular town. We do not need anything fancy to get the job done. Just the room, some pens, and a bit of quiet when we can get it. Most of our days are spent talking to folks who walk in from the maidan area.
