Our place is House No. 529/6 in Karave Village. We are right near Madhu Sheth House, which is a well-known landmark for anyone living in this part of the village. MEENAI CONTRACTORS LLP is a local contracting business. We don't do anything too fancy. We just take on contracts for building and maintenance work. The office is really just a part of the house where we keep our tools and records. It’s a family-style environment where everyone knows each other. Karave is a quiet place, but we keep busy with work from all over the area. We started this because we wanted to work for ourselves and build something in our own community. There aren't any corporate suits here. Most of the time we are in work clothes and focusing on the job at hand. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it’s quiet enough to hear the birds outside. We take the good days with the bad. It is hard work, often involves heavy lifting and getting home late, but it’s what we know how to do. We don't have a big website or a lot of advertisements. Most people just hear about us from their neighbors or see us working on a nearby site. We just want to keep working and doing right by the people who hire us. It's a simple life, but it keeps us busy and the bills paid, which is enough.
