Matoshri Shaikshanik Pratishthan

Matoshri Shaikshanik Pratishthan is located on the Kalyan Nagar Road in Shahad. It is a very busy area in Thane. There is always a lot of traffic moving past us at all hours. The building is right there near the main road so we hear the trucks and cars all day long. It is a place where we handle a lot of administrative things for the educational work we do in this region. The office is often full of files and folders stacked on the tables. We do not have fancy leather chairs or glass desks. It is mostly just metal cupboards and wooden tables that have seen a lot of use over the years. People come in from Kalyan or the surrounding parts of Thane to talk to us about various things. We keep the kettle going for tea throughout the day for the staff and visitors. The floors are tiled and easy to clean because a lot of dust comes in from the road outside. We do not really use big marketing slogans here. We just tell people where we are and what we can help with. Shahad is a working-class area and we fit right in with that. We work long hours sometimes to get things finished. The lighting isn't the best in the back rooms but we make do with what we have. It is a very grounded kind of place.
