We've been here at Sneha Bhavan Co-Op Housing Society for a while now. Our office is on the first floor, specifically flats 101 and 102. If you know Wagle Estate, you know Road Number 16 can get pretty busy during the rush hour. It’s right in Kisan Nagar No: 2. Most mornings, we just grab a quick tea from the stall downstairs before heading up. The building itself is one of those classic Thane structures that’s seen a lot of years. Inside, we’ve got our desks set up in a way that works for us, though it can get a bit cramped when everyone is in at once. Working in Thane is alright, mostly because everything you need is just a short walk away. We’ve grown used to the sounds of the traffic and the general bustle of the estate. It’s not a fancy glass tower, just a regular place where we get our work done. Sometimes the rain hits the windows pretty hard in the monsoon, and we have to make sure the balcony doors are shut tight. We’ve got some files stacked up near the window because we ran out of cabinet space. It’s a lived-in space, for sure. People usually find us easily enough once they get to the right road. We’re just part of the local landscape here in 400604. Sometimes the electricity flickers when the neighbors use their heavy appliances. We have a small table in the corner for lunch. It smells like home-cooked food around noon.
