Kut N Snip

Kut N Snip is the name of our place over at Shop No.17. We are in the Vrindavan Paradise building in Khadakpada. This is part of Kalyan City in Thane. We are near Vasant Valley, which is a pretty well-known landmark around here. I decided to open this shop a few years back. It’s been a lot of work getting it set up. We have a few chairs and some mirrors. The floor is tiled, which makes it easier to sweep up all the hair at the end of the day. We get a lot of young guys coming in wanting different styles they saw online. I do my best with what they show me. Sometimes it’s just a basic buzz cut. It gets really busy on Sundays because everyone wants to look sharp for the week. The air conditioning works okay, though it struggles when the shop is packed. We have some magazines on the table, but most people just look at their phones while waiting. It’s a decent spot in Khadakpada. We know the other shop owners nearby and we all look out for each other. My family helps me out with the books and cleaning sometimes. It’s a family-run kind of thing. We aren't trying to be fancy. It's just a place where you get your hair cut without any fuss. That’s about all there is to say about us. We’ve got a small water dispenser in the corner because it gets thirsty in here. The chairs are spaced out just enough so I don’t bump into my assistant. We get a lot of noise from the street.
