We have been set up in Laxmi Yashwant Arcade for a good while now. Katrap is a busy enough neighborhood, especially being so close to Ganesh Ghat where people are always coming and going. Most of our days start around the same time every morning, getting the floors swept and the chairs wiped down before anyone walks in. Thane can get pretty humid, so we usually make sure the fans are going early to keep the air moving. Our spot isn't huge, but it has enough room for everyone to sit and get their hair done without feeling too cramped. Most people who come through the door live right nearby or are just passing through after doing their daily shopping at the local markets. It can get a bit noisy in the arcade with all the other shops around us, but you get used to the sounds after a few weeks. We spend a lot of time talking about local news with the regulars who have been coming to us since we first opened. There is always someone dropping by to ask a quick question or check on a time. Katrap has changed quite a bit over the years, but our little corner stays mostly the same. We keep our tools organized and try to stay on top of the laundry for the towels. It is mostly just routine work, really. Usually, by the afternoon, things pick up and we are on our feet until we close.
