Ina Hair & Beauty Clinic

Our little shop is in the Gitanjali Building, right over in Shivaji Nagar. If you know where Swad Hotel is, then you can find us easily because we are just nearby. We have been doing hair and beauty stuff here for a good while. The place always smells like shampoo and different skin creams. It is a bit small inside, especially when we have three or four people waiting at the same time. We have some big mirrors and those chairs that spin around. Sometimes the floor gets covered in hair during the busy morning rush, and we have to keep sweeping it up so it doesn't look messy. Shivaji Nagar is a lively place, so there is always someone walking by or popping their head in to say hello. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to handle the scissors and the blow dryers. The lighting is a bit bright, but you need that to see what you're doing with someone's eyebrows. We usually have the radio playing in the background, but you can barely hear it over the sound of the fans and the chatting. It’s not a fancy salon like the ones in the mall, but we like it this way. It feels more like home. We see the same faces every month, and we know who likes their hair cut short and who is trying to grow it out. We just keep working until the last person leaves.
