Hotel Akshaya

Hotel Akshaya is in Thane West, inside a building called Ram Narayan Kutir. We are right near the Bhaji Market at Jambli Naka. This is a very busy part of Thane, 400602. Every morning, the vegetable sellers start setting up their stalls very early. You can hear the shouting and the carts moving around 4:00 AM. It is a lot of noise but it is a good kind of energy. The building itself is older and has that solid feel to it. We spend our time sweeping the entrance and making sure the lights are working. Being near Jambli Naka means we are right in the middle of everything. The market is right there, so there is always a crowd. We do not have a fancy elevator or a big lobby with carpets. It is just a simple place with basic rooms. We keep a ledger for the names and we have a small television in the corner that is usually on the news. Sometimes the smell of fresh coriander or onions from the market drifts in. It is just a part of being at Naupada-Thane West. We have been here for years and we know the rhythms of the market perfectly. It is a plain, honest spot for anyone in Thane. We don't do anything special, just keep the place open for visitors and locals who need it.
