Gugils UNR

Ulhasnagar is always moving, and being near Vithalwadi station means we see it at its busiest. Our place is tucked away on Shiv Sena Shakha Road, right next to Udyog Vihar. If you are standing at the station, you can almost hear us. It’s a noisy neighborhood, but that is just part of being in Ulhasnagar No 3. The morning starts with the sound of the first trains and the shutters of the nearby shops going up. We spend a lot of our time just organizing things in the back or talking to the regulars who drop by for a chat. The building itself is nothing special, just concrete and some old paint that’s peeling in the corners. We don't have a big sign with lights, just the name Gugils UNR so people know where to stop. Sometimes the traffic on the road gets backed up and it’s just a sea of horns and exhaust fumes. We just keep our heads down and keep working. There’s a guy who sells tea right outside and we usually have a cup or two with him when things are quiet. It’s not a polished business with a lot of rules. We just handle things as they come. When the day ends, we lock up and head out like everyone else. It’s a steady routine and we don't ask for much more than that. It’s been this way for a long time now.
