Greater Valley International School

Greater Valley International School is situated in a place called Ghotsai, which is out in the Kalyan area of Thane. It’s a bit of a distance from the main city centers, which gives it a different feel compared to urban schools. There’s a bit more space and it’s generally quieter, except when the kids are out on the playground. We have students coming in from different parts of Thane, so the yellow school buses are a big part of our daily life. The school building is functional and fits the needs of the students. We don't have a team of people trying to make us look like something we aren't. We’re just a school in Kalyan. The grounds need regular maintenance, especially after the heavy rains we get in this part of the country. We spend time making sure the gates are secure and the classrooms are ready for the next day. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s important. We talk to the parents when they come by the office, and usually, the conversations are about practical things like fees or bus routes. We don't have any grand speeches to give. We just want the kids to come here, learn their lessons, and go home safely. It’s a very grounded way of living. If you’re looking for us, you’ll have to head out towards Ghotsai. It’s a simple setup, and that seems to work just fine for everyone involved here.
