Govind Ashram Restaurant

Our restaurant is located in Kalyan City, inside the Aricia Altis Building at Shop Number 2. We are right across the road from the Shamshan Bhumi, which is a major landmark that helps people find us easily. The shop is quite plain inside. We have simple tiled floors and basic tables and chairs. There are no decorations on the walls or the tables. We keep things very functional. Our main focus is serving the local people who live and work in this part of Thane. We cook traditional food like different types of sabzi, dal, and fresh chapatis. You can see the kitchen from where you sit, and you can hear the sounds of the pans and the stoves going all day. We have a small staff of people from the local area. We don't wear uniforms; we just wear what is comfortable for working in a hot kitchen. During the middle of the day, the place gets very busy and noisy with people talking and the sound of traffic from the street. We don't have any social media or a website to promote ourselves. We just rely on the people who walk past our door every day. The building is newer than some others, but we keep our restaurant very traditional in the way we do things. It is hard work, especially in the heat, but we have been doing this for a while now.
