Excelsior Academy

Excelsior Academy is on the second floor of Siddhivinayak Arcade, in room 220. The building is a bit of a hub with different offices and shops, so there are always people coming and going. If you take the stairs up to the second floor, you will hear the sound of voices from the different rooms. Our place is not huge. We have a few rooms set up with chairs and whiteboards. The markers are always running out and the erasers are a bit worn down, but it gets the job done. Students usually start trickling in during the late afternoons after their regular school hours. It can get pretty crowded in the hallway during the break times. We do not have a big fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. Usually, one of the teachers will just wave you in if you are looking for someone. The walls are mostly bare except for a few schedules taped up with masking tape. We have been in this arcade for several years now, and we have seen a lot of faces pass through. It is a very local feel here. Everyone knows the shopkeepers downstairs. We try to keep things simple and focus on the lessons rather than the appearance of the place. It is just a straightforward spot for learning where we do not worry too much about the small stuff as long as the daily work is happening.
