We are located at H.No.985 5.J in the S. J. Engineering Compound. It’s out in Dombivli East, Thane, along the Kalyan-Shroad. The compound is a bit of a maze if you aren’t used to it. There are several other workshops and engineering sheds around us. Our place is where we handle the detox engineering side of things. It’s mostly industrial work, dealing with tanks, pipes, and systems. The office is just a small room partitioned off from the main floor where the heavy stuff happens. It’s usually pretty loud with the sound of metal and machinery. We wear heavy boots and gear most of the day. There’s always a layer of dust on the windows, no matter how much we clean them. Most of the guys here have been doing this for years. We don’t have a fancy lobby or any of that. Just a place to sit and have lunch. We get a lot of trucks coming in and out of the compound delivering materials or picking up finished units. The road outside can get pretty muddy when it rains. We just focus on getting the specs right and making sure the engineering holds up. It’s practical, greasy work, but it’s what we know how to do. We’ve been in this spot in Thane for quite a while now. Most of the time, the guys are too busy to chat much until the day is done.
