AUTO COAT SYSTEMS (INDIA)

Our unit is over at Plot No. A-383 in Wagle Estate, specifically in the Part-1 section on Road No. 28. If you’ve ever been to this part of Thane, you know it’s a massive industrial hub. There’s a lot of metal and machinery around us at all times. We focus on coating systems, so the air usually smells a bit like paint or chemicals, which you get used to after a week on the job. The shop floor is where everything happens. We have various tanks and spraying setups that take up most of the room. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear a nice suit or clean shoes. We wear our work clothes and usually have some spots of grease or paint on us. The days are quite long. We start when the estate wakes up and often stay late if a batch of parts needs to be finished before morning. The traffic on Road 28 can be a nightmare during the evening rush, so we often just stay back and finish a bit more work until it clears up. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to answer the phones with a fancy script. Usually, whoever is closest to the phone picks it up. We just try to get the pieces coated right so they don't rust or peel later on. It’s steady work, and we’ve been in this spot for a long time now. The neighbors are all industrial guys too, so we help each other out with tools.
