Kadayanallur Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are Kadayanallur Farmers Producer Company Limited, and our main spot is at 19, Ayyapuram Middle Street. This company is basically just a group of us farmers from the Kadayanallur area who wanted to stop being so isolated. Farming around here has its own set of challenges, and it helps to have a place on Middle Street where we can all meet up. Usually, we are talking about the crops or how the local market is doing that week. It is a real community effort. Most of us grew up in these fields, and we don't know much else. We aren't professionals in suits; we are people who spend our days in the sun and the rain. Having the producer company means we can buy things together and hopefully get a better deal. The office is small and usually has a few sacks of something or other sitting in the corner. It is a working space, not a showroom. We try to help the younger farmers learn the ropes too, because it’s not an easy life. Ayyapuram Middle Street is right in the heart of where we work. We don't have a big mission statement or anything like that. We just want to make sure we can keep farming and that our families have enough. It is a simple goal, but it takes a lot of work from everyone involved to keep things moving forward. There is always work to be done in the fields.
