Bari Vanam Eco Farm Private Limited is our little corner of the world in Vadakarai. We are right on the Main Road in the Shengottai Taluk. We call it an eco farm because we really care about how we treat the land. It’s not about using a bunch of chemicals to get a quick result. We like to do things more naturally, even if it takes longer. The area around Shengottai is beautiful, especially with the hills nearby, and we want to keep it that way. Our place at No 1/3 is where we manage everything. It’s a lot of physical labor, weeding by hand and making sure the water is used properly. We don’t have a fancy marketing team or a polished image. We’re usually covered in mud or dust by the end of the day. It’s an honest way to live, though. We spend our time watching the seasons change and trying to grow things that belong here. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate, or a crop fails, but that’s just part of the risk you take when you farm. We aren't doing this to get rich quick; we just want to farm in a way that feels right to us. If you’re ever driving down the Main Road in Vadakarai, you can see what we’re doing. It’s a quiet life, mostly, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
