We are right on the Delhi-Mathura Road, specifically at Plot No. 27/A. You can’t miss us if you’re looking for Pratap Steel, because we are right opposite them. Being on NH2 means there is never a quiet moment. The trucks are always rumbling past and the air is full of exhaust and dust. We make springs here. It’s loud work with the machines running, and the concrete floor is usually covered in metal scraps and oil. We’ve been at this for many years. The shop floor is where most of us spend our time. It’s very hot in the summer, especially with the machinery going, but we just keep the fans running and get on with it. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy brochures for us. We just show up, make the springs, and send them out. Sometimes a customer comes by with a specific sample they need copied, and we spend the afternoon figuring out the tension and the wire size. It’s practical work. Our office is just a small room partitioned off from the main area, mostly used for keeping the books and taking phone calls. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do the work properly so we can go home at the end of the day. It’s a tough environment, greasy and loud, but it’s what we know.
