Carborundum Universal Limited

Carborundum Universal Limited has been here at No. 665 T. H. Road in Thiruvottriyur for a good while now. If you know this part of North Chennai, you know how busy it gets with all the trucks and the dust from the road. The building isn't anything fancy to look at, just a practical place where we get the work done every day. Most mornings start early before the sun really hits the roof, though it still gets pretty hot in the afternoons. You can hear the traffic outside constantly, but inside we’re usually focused on whatever batch is currently being processed. It’s an industrial area, so there isn't much in the way of scenery, just other shops and factories lining the street. People come and go, deliveries arrive, and we just keep the machines running. We don't really spend much time on decorations or making things look pretty for visitors because that's not really what we do here. It’s mostly about the grit and the daily routine. Sometimes the power fluctuates, which is a bit of a pain, but we manage to stay on track. The staff here knows the layout of the floor by heart, and we just move through the day-to-day tasks without much fuss. It’s loud, it’s a bit messy, and there’s always something that needs fixing, but that’s just how it is at our spot on T. H. Road.
