Our business, Autotech Products, is tucked away in the G Block of Thanikachalam Nagar at No. 68. It’s a bit of a residential area, so it’s quieter than the main industrial hubs, which we actually prefer. We deal with all sorts of automotive parts, and our space is pretty much filled from floor to ceiling with stock. You’ll see racks of mufflers, boxes of spark plugs, and various gaskets stacked everywhere. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze to walk through the aisles sometimes, especially when a new shipment arrives and we haven't put it all away yet. We’ve got a small counter at the front where we handle the paperwork and talk to customers. There’s an old wooden stool that everyone fights over because it’s the only comfortable one. We don't have a big marketing budget or a shiny showroom; we rely on people knowing we have what they need in stock. The walls are decorated with some old posters of cars from the nineties and a few calendars from vendors. We have a small back room where we keep the more expensive items locked up. It’s just a simple, honest operation. We start the day by sweeping the front step and checking the orders that came in overnight. It’s not glamorous, but it keeps us busy and we enjoy the rhythm of the day in this part of town. We’ve been here for a while and know most folks who come by.
