Virat Cement

The shop is over at 155 Mota Varachha, specifically in the Pimple Saudagar area. It’s mostly just stacks of cement bags and the smell of dust in the air. We spend most of the morning unloading trucks. It’s hard work on the back, but it keeps us busy. Virat Cement isn’t a fancy office. It’s just a place where we get the job done. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and we take a break on the plastic chairs outside. The floor is usually covered in a thin layer of gray powder. We try to sweep it, but it just comes back. Most of our day is spent talking to contractors or people building small houses nearby. We don't use computers much, mostly just notebooks to keep track of who took what. It gets really hot in the afternoons here. The sun hits the front of the shop directly. We’ve got a small fan that rattles a lot. People know us because we’ve been at this spot for some time. It’s a straightforward business. We move the bags, we count the money, and we wait for the next delivery. There’s no big secret to it. Just regular guys working in Mota Varachha. Sometimes the traffic makes it hard for the trucks to back in, which is always a bit of a headache. But we manage to keep things moving along. It is what it is.
