Holcim Ambuja Cement

We are over at Ved Road in Surat, specifically in the Radheshyam Society at plots D/52-53. It’s a decent area, though it gets quite busy during the week with all the local transport moving around. We have been working out of this spot for some time now, handling the Ambuja cement side of things for Holcim. It’s not a huge flashy warehouse, just a regular place where we keep track of everything and make sure deliveries are on schedule. Surat is a fast-growing place, so there is always some construction going on nearby. We see a lot of the same faces coming in, mostly local contractors and guys working on houses in the neighborhood. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or anything like that. The office is pretty basic, just some desks and files to keep the paperwork straight. Working on Ved Road means we are right in the thick of it, which is good for getting things moved quickly. Sometimes the rain makes things a bit slow, but we deal with it as it comes. It is a small team here, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from answering the phone to checking the bags. We just focus on getting the cement out to where it is needed without making a big deal out of it. It’s honest work and we like being part of the local community here in our little corner of Surat.
