Uma Gift Selection

We have been running Uma Gift Selection at 2 B 20 in Katargam for quite some time now. It is a small corner of the neighborhood where we keep a variety of things people might need for a quick gift or a celebration. The shop isn't very big, so we have to use every inch of the walls and shelves. You will find toys for kids, some household items, and those small things that people often forget they need until the last minute. Being in Katargam, we see the same people walking by every day. Some stop in for a quick chat even if they aren't buying anything. We don't have a big staff, usually it is just us managing the counter and helping people find what they are looking for. The morning starts with opening the shutters and cleaning the front area. It gets quite dusty around here, so wiping down the glass cases is a never-ending job. We don't really do much in terms of marketing or fancy displays. The stuff we have is just laid out so people can see it. If someone needs a gift wrapped, we handle it at the small table in the back. It is often covered in scraps of paper and tape. The days are long, but we like being part of the local scene here. It is just a regular life running a regular shop for regular people who live nearby.
