Authentic Gift Shop

The Authentic Gift Shop is located over at Parle Point Palace, right on the main road there. We are in unit H/8 and it is quite close to the Ambika Mataji Mandir, so we see a lot of people walking by after they finish their morning or evening prayers. The shop itself is not very large, but we try to pack a lot of variety into the space we have. We spend our mornings opening up the heavy metal shutters and making sure the items on the front display haven't started to fade from the bright sun hitting the glass. It is a lot of little things like decorative items, frames, and small trinkets that you might give to someone for a birthday or a small anniversary. We are not trying to be the biggest or most modern shop in Surat, just a place where you can find something honest and nice. Sometimes the traffic on Parle Point Road is so loud that we have to shout a little bit just to hear what the customers are asking for, but you get used to that noise after a few years. We try to keep a mix of things so there is always something new to look at on the shelves. If you come in on a weekday, it is usually quiet. We handle everything ourselves, from sweeping the floor to talking to the wholesale people who bring the goods.
