Tushar Traders

Tushar Traders is located right on the Ring Road in Borivali East, in unit D-2013. Being on the Ring Road means we get a lot of noise and dust from the vehicles passing by at all hours. Our shop is pretty much what you would expect from a trading business. It’s packed from floor to ceiling with stock, and sometimes it feels like we’re playing a game of Tetris just to find a specific item for a customer. We don't have any fancy displays or bright neon signs. We mostly rely on the fact that people know we are here. The floor is concrete and has a few cracks that we’ve ignored for years. We usually have the radio playing in the background to drown out the traffic. It’s a family-style environment, even if we aren't all related. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the news when things are slow. Borivali East is a busy place, and we’ve become part of the local landscape over time. We aren't trying to sell anyone on a big dream; we just sell the stuff people need for their daily lives or their own businesses. The paperwork is mostly kept in old-fashioned ledgers because that’s how we’ve always done it. It’s a simple operation, run by people who have been in the trade for a long time. We lock up around seven and head home through the traffic. It's a long day, but it's okay.
