The Southern Gujarat Chamber Of Commerce & Industry (Sgcci)

We are located up on the 4th Floor of the Samruddhi building, right near the Makai Bridge in Nanpura. Being part of the Southern Gujarat Chamber Of Commerce & Industry means there is always someone coming in or out. It’s an old part of the city, and Dutch Road has its own specific feel. The building itself is busy, and we are just one part of that. Most mornings start with checking the mail and seeing who is dropping by for a meeting. It’s a lot of paperwork and talking to local business owners about what’s going on in the city. Since we are near the bridge, you can always hear the traffic outside, which reminds us how much is happening in the area. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture or anything like that. It is a practical office meant for sitting down and getting things sorted out. Sometimes the lift is slow, so we end up taking the stairs. It keeps us moving. People around here know the building well. We just try to stay helpful and keep the files in order. It’s a lot of routine stuff, but it matters to the people who walk through our door every day. We just keep at it, one day at a time. The tea lady comes by twice a day, and that’s usually when we take our only real break. It helps us get through the afternoon.
