Manisha Decorators

Manisha Decorators is located at number 14 in the Surat Main Bazar. It is a pretty chaotic shop because we have so many things stored everywhere. There are rolls of fabric, bags of artificial flowers, and strings of lights hanging from the hooks on the walls. Most of the time, we are out at different sites setting up for weddings or small parties. When we are back at the shop, we are usually cleaning the equipment or packing things for the next job. The Main Bazar is a very crowded place, so getting our small truck in and out of the alley can be a real headache. We don't have a catalog with polished photos. Instead, we show people photos on our phones of work we did last week. It is a family business, so you might see different brothers or cousins helping out depending on the day. We have been doing this for years, mostly by word of mouth in the neighborhood. We don't have a receptionist; you just have to shout for someone if we are in the back room. The work is physical and we often work late into the night to finish a setup. We just try to get the decorations looking right so the family is happy for their event. It is a lot of lifting and climbing ladders, but it is what we know how to do best in this market.
