Mamata Paper Agencies

Down here on Durgadevi Street, number 11-43-6, is where you’ll find us working most days. Mamata Paper Agencies is basically a warehouse and a desk squeezed into one space in the Yanduri Vari area. We deal with stacks of paper all day long, different weights and sizes for all kinds of uses. The smell of fresh paper is always there when you walk in. We have big reams piled up nearly to the ceiling. Moving them around is a real workout, let me tell you, and my back feels it by the evening. It’s mostly just us handling orders for local businesses or the schools nearby. The street gets crowded with trucks and scooters, so getting deliveries out can be a real headache sometimes. We use an old desk that’s been here since we first started this business. Sometimes the fans don't work right and it gets very hot, but we keep going. We have different kinds of stationery too, though the bulk paper is our main thing. Customers come in with specific lists, and we spend time digging through the stacks to find exactly what they need. It’s a lot of counting and checking invoices. We don't use fancy gadgets for everything, a lot of it is still written down in our ledgers. If the paper is a bit bent at the corner, we set it aside and don't sell it. It’s just a plain business doing everyday work for the local folks who need supplies.
