Jay Shree Krishna

We are up on the first floor of the Radha Krishna Textile Market, specifically at units H-2546 and 2546-47. Being on Ring Road means it is always chaotic outside with the traffic and the porters moving heavy bales of fabric on their backs. Jay Shree Krishna is our little corner in this massive market. It is a different world inside compared to the street. We have stacks of fabric everywhere, sometimes so high you can't see over them. The air is always full of lint and the sound of people bargaining in the hallways. We have been here for a good while, and we know the rhythms of the market—when the new stock arrives and when the buyers start pouring in. It is not a quiet office job. We are constantly unfolding rolls, checking for flaws, and packing things up for transport. Sometimes the lighting in the market isn't the best, so we have to take the cloth over to the window to see the true color. It is a bit cramped, and we are always shuffling things around to make space for the next delivery. We don't have a fancy showroom. People just come in, look at what we have, and we talk business. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day, but we are used to it by now. The tea man comes around twice a day, which is usually the highlight of the afternoon.
