Sony Gift & Novelty

Sony Gift & Novelty is at G 45, right opposite Shivam Hospital on L N Road in Surat. Having the hospital across the street means we see a lot of people coming and going at all hours. Some are looking for a gift for someone inside, or maybe just something to pass the time. The shop is part of a larger building, and G 45 is our little corner. I have all kinds of things here, from small trinkets to more useful items. L N Road is one of those streets that never seems to sleep. Surat is a loud city, and you can hear it all from inside the shop. I spend my day rearranging the gifts. I try to make sure the novelty items are visible from the street. It’s a small shop, so things can get cluttered if I’m not careful. I’ve been here for a good while. People usually find us by looking for Shivam Hospital first. It’s a good landmark. I don’t do any advertising. People just see the sign and come in. I like the variety of people I meet. Some are happy, some are worried because of the hospital, so I just try to be a regular person behind the counter. It is just a shop, nothing more, nothing less. We keep the doors open and the lights on. It can be a bit overwhelming with the traffic outside but once you step inside G 45 it's just me and my gifts. I keep a fan running to stay cool.
