Our shop is located at 14 Paras Shopping Centre, right behind the Paras Police Chowki in the Katargam area. It is a busy little corner of the world, and being near the police chowki makes it a fairly easy landmark for people to find. The shopping center itself has been around for a long time, and our spot at number 14 is tucked in among the other local businesses. We mostly deal in novelty items, which means a bit of everything, really. You might find some kitchen gadgets, small toys, or decorative items for the house. The shop isn't very big, so we use every inch of the wall space for hanging things up. The lighting isn't the brightest, especially in the corners, but we managed to get some extra lamps to help people see what they are looking at. We don't have a lot of help, so it's usually just us cleaning the glass and checking the prices on things. Katargam has a lot of people moving through it, and we get a good mix of customers, from grandmothers looking for something for their grandkids to young men looking for a gift. We don't put on any airs; it’s just a regular store with regular prices. We like the rhythm of the day here, even when it gets a bit chaotic with too many people in the small aisles at once. It’s a honest way to earn a living in Katargam, and we've been doing it a while now.
