Shree Shivshakti General Store

Over here in Sachin, specifically at the Siddhi Ganesh Township, we have Shree Shivshakti General Store. We actually take up units 32, 33, and 34 because we need the extra room for all the stuff we carry. It’s right across from the Diamond Petrol Pump, so we see plenty of cars and bikes pulling in and out all day. Surat can get really hot, and the sun beats down on our storefront in the afternoons, so we have a bit of a shade set up. We sell everything from plastic buckets to packets of biscuits and notebooks for school. The township is pretty big, so there are always kids running around or people coming home from the factories nearby. It’s a lot of work keeping three units organized. One side is mostly for heavy household things and the other is for snacks and small items. The floor is that grey stone that’s common around here, and I try to mop it every morning before the first customer walks in. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the road for a bit while we unload the heavy boxes. It’s a noisy, busy place, but it feels good to be part of the daily life here on Talangpur Road. We just keep our heads down and keep the shelves full.
