You can find us at Plot No.8 in Jalaram Nagar, which is right along the 60 Feet Road in Udhna. We are located behind Harinagar - 2, so it’s a pretty easy spot to find if you are familiar with this part of Surat. Our store has been here serving the local community for some time now. It’s a standard general store where we keep a bit of everything, from household cleaners to basic food items. The 60 Feet Road is always moving with vehicles, so there is usually a lot of dust and noise, but that’s just Surat for you. We spend our days mostly organizing the shelves and helping whoever walks through the door. It is a family-run kind of thing, so you might see different family members behind the counter depending on the time of day. We don’t use any fancy computers for everything; a lot of it is still done by hand. We aren’t trying to compete with those big malls in the city center. We just want to be the place where the people from Jalaram Nagar can walk over and grab what they need for their homes. Sometimes we run out of change, or a delivery is late, but we just deal with it. It’s a practical business and we like being part of the neighborhood. The doors are open early, and we stay until the street gets quiet at night. It is just about being reliable for the people living nearby and keeping things simple.
