Shree Gayatri Genral Stores

We’ve been here at Kamrej Char Rasta for quite a while now. The shop is right in the Chawl N Village N 6 area, which stays pretty busy most days. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular general store where people from around the neighborhood stop in to pick up whatever they’re missing at home. Sometimes it’s a packet of biscuits, other times it’s something for the kitchen like salt or tea. We try to keep the shelves full, but it’s a small space so things get a bit crowded with boxes. You know how it is in these local spots. My family helps out when things get hectic in the evenings after everyone finishes work. We see the same faces every day, which makes the time go by faster and the work feel easier. It’s just us doing our daily work and making sure we have the basic stuff people ask for when they come in. The street outside can get noisy with all the traffic coming through the junction, but inside we just focus on the customers and their needs. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People just know where we are by word of mouth. If someone needs a small thing and doesn't want to go all the way to the big market, they come here. It’s a simple way to make a living, really. Nothing too complicated about it.
