Shiv Shakti Krupa Stores is tucked away on Narshi Natha Street 3, which is right off the busy Varachha Road. It is one of those traditional places where you can find just about anything if you are willing to look hard enough. We have got wooden shelves reaching all the way up to the ceiling, and they are filled with all kinds of stuff for the house and kitchen. It is usually a bit of a tight squeeze when more than two or three people are inside the shop at once. We know the whole neighborhood very well because we have been standing behind this counter for so many years. You see the same familiar faces every single morning coming in to buy their daily bits and pieces. We do not have those bright neon lights or a fancy website to show off. Most people find us because they live just around the corner or maybe their parents shopped here when they were younger. Sometimes the stock gets a little bit mixed up on the shelves, but we know exactly where every single item is hiding. The floor is made of old tile and the ceiling fan always makes a clicking sound, but it keeps us cool enough. We spend a lot of time weighing things out on the scale or bagging items for the local customers. It is a slow and steady kind of work. We are not trying to be the biggest store in the city, just a reliable one for the folks on this street.
