Shiv Mahadev Provision Store is over in the Bamroli area of Surat, specifically at Shop No 19 in Sai Nagar Society. Being inside a residential society means we see the same faces almost every single day. We are quite close to the Smc Health Clinic, so sometimes people coming from there stop in to get a bottle of water or some biscuits. The Navagam Dindoli Road is always busy, but our corner stays a bit more focused on the local families. We keep all the basic provision items that a household might run out of suddenly. It’s a small space, so we have to stack things pretty high to fit everything in. Sometimes it’s a bit of a squeeze when more than three people are inside at once. We don't really have a big staff, just us making sure the milk arrives on time and the bread is fresh. In the mornings, it’s a lot of school kids and people rushing to work. Then the rest of the day is more relaxed, with housewives coming in for their regular groceries. We don’t have any fancy computers or anything, just a notebook for keeping track of things and a simple counter. It’s just a small local shop trying to be there for the neighbors when they need something quick. No big deal, just a regular part of life here in Bamroli.
