Down on City Light Road A 1, we mostly deal with the stuff people don't think about until the lights go out. Sai Power Care is full of those heavy inverter units and big batteries that weigh a ton. I keep the shop floor pretty clear so we can move the dollies around without tripping. When the weather gets bad and the power starts flickering, the phone starts ringing more often. People around City Light Road know where we are because of the big orange battery cases sitting out front sometimes. I spend my mornings checking the distilled water levels in the units we have for repair. It is a bit of a damp, metallic-smelling environment, but it is what I know. I have a small bench where I keep my voltmeters and pliers. The shop isn't very large, so we have to stack the stock quite high against the back wall. I usually wear an old shirt that I don't mind getting a bit of battery acid on. It is honest work, and it feels okay when someone can finally turn their lights back on during a blackout because of something we fixed. I usually close up around eight and walk down the road to get some food. The A 1 spot has been our base for a while now, and it is just a part of the daily routine on this street.
