Zaveri Electronics

If you walk down Chhakkapir Gali near Begur Main Road, you will find Zaveri Electronics. We are in that narrow lane where it always feels a bit crowded. The shop is packed from floor to ceiling with wires, bulbs, and circuit boards. Sometimes I think I have too much stuff in here, but then someone comes in looking for a specific fuse and I am glad I kept it. We do some repairs at the small bench near the window. It is a bit messy with soldering irons and bits of wire everywhere. People bring in their broken radios or remote controls, and we see what we can do. It is not always a quick fix. Begur Main Road is just a few steps away, so you can hear the buses and horns all day long. We have a small stool for customers to sit on, but most prefer to lean against the doorframe. We have known the other shopkeepers in the Gali for a long time, and we often share tea in the afternoons. The shop does not look like those modern electronics stores in the malls. It is a bit dark and smells like hot solder. We just try to be helpful and keep the local gadgets running. It is a quiet living, and we are happy with the way things are. We just open up and wait to see what needs fixing today.
