Iqara Battery

Iqara Battery is over in Surat, specifically in the 1st Main of the 2nd Stage. Our shop number is 32/34. It’s a pretty straightforward place. We handle batteries for all sorts of things, mostly cars and bikes, but sometimes bigger ones too. The shop always has that heavy smell of lead and acid, which you get used to after a few days. We have stacks of batteries everywhere, so it’s a bit of a workout moving them around. My hands are usually a bit dirty from the grease. We don’t have any air conditioning, just a big ceiling fan that rattles a lot. It’s a local business, so we know a lot of the mechanics around here. They drop by when they need something and we chat for a bit. We don't have a website or do any online selling. If you want a battery, you just come to the shop and we see what we have in stock. If we don’t have it, we can usually get it by the next day. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting and carrying, but it’s what we do. The 2nd Stage area is pretty busy with other small workshops and garages, so there’s always something going on. We open early because that’s when people realize their car won’t start. It’s just a normal day of work for us here in Surat and we like it that way.
