We've been here at Varachha Road for a long while now. Most folks who live or work around Deccan Gymkhana 65 probably know the shop, or at least they've walked past the old sign a few dozen times. We mostly spend our days fixing things or selling those specific parts people need for their older TVs and various household gadgets. It’s a small place, and to be honest, it's often a bit cluttered with tangled wires, dusty tools, and half-open boxes, but that's just how we work. I started this whole thing because I’ve always liked taking things apart to see how they tick. Sometimes it gets really busy in the afternoons and there's a bit of a wait, but people don't seem to mind much. Customers come in looking for specific components that you just can't find at the big malls anymore. We try to keep a decent stock on the back shelves. If we don't have the exact item, we can usually track it down in a few days. It's just me and a couple of others here. We know most of the neighbors by name. It isn't a fancy showroom with bright LED lights or anything like that. Just a regular workbench and some old shelves. We spend most of the day soldering or testing circuits with the multimeter. The traffic on Varachha Road can be a real nightmare in the evenings, so we usually close up once it starts getting dark. Nothing special about the building itself, just look for the number 65. We’ve seen the neighborhood change.
