Real Wedding Cards

I'm sitting here at the shop on Ring Road C 1 right now. It is a bit of a mess today because we have three big wedding orders going out by tomorrow morning. If you walk into Real Wedding Cards, the first thing you notice is the smell of ink and the sound of the cutting machine in the back room. My desk is covered in cardstock samples and different envelopes people have been picking through all week. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. We have been in this spot for a while now. Most days are just spent checking fonts and making sure the colors don't look weird when they actually hit the paper. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend an hour fixing a paper jam, which is frustrating but that is just how it goes. People stop by to talk about their big day and we just try to get the details right for them. It is a lot of looking at tiny letters and making sure names are spelled exactly how they should be. We usually have tea around four o'clock while we wait for the next batch to dry. It gets pretty busy around wedding season, so there are boxes stacked everywhere. We just keep working through the pile. It is simple work but it keeps us busy here on the corner of the road.
