Radhe Shyam Gift

We are located over at 141 Mahavir Complex in Shahibaug Katargam. The shop is called Radhe Shyam Gift. It is a decent sized space but we have managed to fill up every single inch with different items. If you come inside to visit us, you have to be a bit careful not to knock anything off the tables with your bag. Katargam is always crowded with people, and Mahavir Complex is no different. There is always someone coming or going in the hallway. We opened up in this spot because there are so many families living in the surrounding buildings. We sell a lot of things for school children and small decorations for the house. My morning usually starts with sweeping the dust from the front step and wiping down the glass counters. Dust is a constant problem in this part of town. I have a small radio that stays tuned to a local station all day just to have some background noise while I work. Some days are so busy that I do not even get a chance to sit down or eat my lunch until very late. Other days are quiet and I just watch the people passing by the shop window. We are not trying to be a big fancy store. We just want to have what people need for their celebrations. I like the local feel here and knowing the neighbors.
